Clemson Calculus Challenge

Spring Valley Calculus Math Team performed well at the Clemson Calculus Challenge held Friday, April 17th.  There were 36 high schools represented from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia with 260 students participating in the competition. Schools were divided into three divisions based on enrollment.  Spring Valley competed in Division 3.  Jenning Chen won 2nd place in the Individual Competition and was awarded a $500 scholarship to Clemson University.  Our A-Team won 3rd place in the Team Division, after completing a tie-breaker question in under 1 minute. Spring Valley placed 2nd in the School Competition.  Students competing were Richard Chen, Jenning Chen, William Edwards, Jason Erno, Gangyun Kim, Albert Huang, Zachary Wallick, and Arif Siddiqi.
