TRANE Media Signing Day- Interview with Industry

Congratulations to our seniors today who will be entering the workforce in conjunction with our partnership with Trane. This is a pilot initiative called Interview with Industry. The idea behind this initiative is for education to partner with industry to provide students with the option of going directly into the workforce following high school graduation. These students also have the option of continuing their education while they work as many companies offer the added benefit of tuition reimbursement.

Ingersoll Rand, also known as Trane is one such company.  Trane has partnered with Spring Valley to build its (entry level) workforce from the high school level.  Some of you are aware that Trane visited Spring Valley recently and presented a comprehensive employment and benefits package to a group of our graduating seniors that includes but is not limited to:

  • $14.50/Hour + yearly increases
  • 401K Retirement Options
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • 1,500.00 medical spending card provided by Trane annually
  • Full Medical and Dental Coverage

Twenty graduating seniors have received offers of employment from Trane to begin work this summer! Congratulations to these Vikings!

SVHS Chromebook Summer Take-Home Info

May 2019

Attention Spring Valley Parents & Guardians,

Here is some basic information about our summer take-home program:

  • Graduating Seniors are not eligible to participate in the summer take-home program.
  • Students transferring schools or withdrawing will need to turn in their devices on or before Wednesday, June 5th. This is the day after the last exam.

  • The optional Computing Device Management Plan (CDMP) covers one incident of accidental damage. The coverage period for technology insurance begins as soon as the premium is paid in full, which must be done no later than the September 30th deadline, and runs through September 30th of the following year.
  • A second or subsequent accidental damage, incident, loss, or theft is not covered by the premium and the student will be responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement.
  • If the premium was not paid or has already been used this school year students can still take home Chromebooks with the understanding that they are responsible for any damage.
  • If you do not wish for your child to participate in the summer take-home program, you will need to contact Andrea Clutts, in writing, through email at aclutts@richland2.org. Please include your child’s full name, grade, and ID number in the email.
