Yesterday the Lady Vikings hosted the Cardinal Newman Lady Cardinals and one individual player from Heathwood Hall on a beautiful afternoon at the Woodlands country club.  Although, several lady Vikings had career low days, it wasn't enough to overcome the lady Cardinals team score of 195 to Spring Valley's score of 224.

Overall low medalist for the match was Lextyn Petz for Cardinal Newman and low medalist for Spring Valley was Payton Starmack.  Other lady Vikings contributing to the team score were: senior Caroline Lumpkin, senior Paris Stevenson and freshman Millie Spivey.

The Lady Vikings hosted the Blythewood Lady Bengals yesterday at Woodlands.  Although we had a strong showing from our 3 seniors, Payton Starmack who was the overall low medalist of the match and Caroline Lumpkin and Paris Stevenson who shot their lowest career scores, the Lady Bengals were too strong to overcome from top to bottom.  Blythewood team defeats Spring Valley with a team score of 196 to 210.

Players contributing to Spring Valley's overall team score were: Payton Starmack, Caroline Lumpkin, Paris Stevenson and Millie Spivey.  The Lady Vikings will take on the Cardinals from Cardinal Newman next Thursday at Members club at Woodcreek.

The Varsity Lady Vikings fell to Blythewood, 0-3, in a region game on Tuesday, September 19th. The ladies fought to the end with Junior Chandler Murria leading the team with 6 Kills and 4 blocks and Freshman Elise Taylor stepping up with 3 Kills and 2 Aces. Match scores were 20-25, 13-25 and 18-25.

The JV girls came out with a BIG win, beating the Bengals in 2 sets; 25-23 and 25-15. We are very proud of our JV girls who were down 7-17 in the first set and came back due to the killer serves from Sophomore, Angel White, 5 of them being Aces. Also, a shout out to Sophomore, Leila Richardson who wrapped up the game with her serves which included 3 Aces. Way to go JV girls!
