The Spring Valley varsity football team defeated Ridge View Friday night 35-8 to run their record to 9-0 and 3-0 in region play. The Vikings were led on offense by QB Chris Adams who rushed 14 times for 166 yards and 1 TD. John Miller, Juwan Wells and Jordan Williams all scored for the Vikings. Cooper Gresham was 5 for 5 on Ext. Pt's. for the night.
On defense the Vikings were led by Josh Harlan who had 23 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a pass break up. Christian Miller had 9 tackles, 1 sack and a 90 yard field goal block return for the Vikings other touchdown. Brandon McMiller blocked the Ridgeview field goal. Demarcus Muscove had 7 tackles, an interception and 3 pass break ups. Donovan Palmer had 11 tackles and a pass break up.
The Vikings travel down the road to play Lugoff-Elgin High School. A win for the Vikings will secure the Region Championship for the Vikings. The Vikings only have two more games left on the regular schedule and we need all the support we can this Friday night!!

The Spring Valley junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders participated in the Lake Murray Invitational held at Irmo High School Saturday, October 26, 2013. The order of placements for varsity cheer were: Boiling Springs, Dutch Fork, Irmo, Spring Valley, Summerville, Blythewood, and Ashley Ridge; with the top 5 receiving trophies. Spring Valley junior varsity cheer did not place.
