Join us for an afternoon of fun, learning and entertainment as we celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage and incredible talents of our student body. Travel the world when you enter Thor’s Fest Hal (the Commons) to taste fantastic homemade dishes from across the globe, listen to award winning music groups, watch ethnic dance performances (from Latin Dance Club to free style) and be wowed by the student artwork on display. The International Club’s Fashion Show of native costumes is always a highlight. Face painting, international games, dress up, karaoke and origami booths are among the activities. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for children over 6 and $10/family (any size). Sponsored by the Spring Valley High School Education Foundation, proceeds will go directly to the classroom to support academic needs, the Free After School Tutoring & Testing Program and some student-selected charities. Forms are attached to contribute an ethnic dish for the “Tasting” or rent a Booth to sell non-food items or promote your endeavor. Call Jonnie Corning in the Foundation office at (803) 699-3500 x. 69061 for information. Click here for form to contribute an ethnic dish. Click here for form to rent a booth.
