Boys Lacrosse
Spring Valley boys' lacrosse hosted Irmo on Monday evening. The Vikings came away victorious in a 14 - 8 game. The win maintains a tie for the lead in the Region. Scoring goals for the Viking Laxers was Paul Currey (4 goals), Matthew Hogue (3 goals, 2 assists), Eli Burch (3 goals, 1 assist), Noah Diamond (1 goal, 2 assists), Gerard Smith (1 goal, 1 assist) and DeShan Wilson(1 goal) and Jay Johnson (1 goal). James Moninghoff added an assist, as well. Defensively, the Vikings only turned the ball over 5 times all game and gathered 36 ground balls. Connor Sears had 9 saves in goal. Next up is an away game at Dutch Fork on Wednesday, March 26th.
Girls Soccer
On Friday, the girls soccer team defeated Ridge View 2-0 (away) to improve to 2-0 in region play (5-2 overall). Goals were scored by Angela Downs and Megan Huntley (double assist by Hannah Gorman and Kat Lenti), and Alex Ramos recorded the shutout in goal. The JV team defeated RV 1-0 in PK's after dominating most of a scoreless tie. The Vikings will host Blythewood at 5:30 and 7pm on Tuesday, March 25th.
