Spring Valley Welcomes New Head Football Coach

This afternoon, Spring Valley Principal Dr. Baron R. Davis and Athletic Director Tim Hunter announced the hiring of Dr. Jerry Brown as the new head coach of the Vikings varsity football program. Coach Brown is returning to Spring Valley where he was part of the coaching staff who guided the Vikings to consecutive state championships in 1973, 1974, and 1975. After leaving Spring Valley, Coach Brown won 5 state championships as the head coach of three different schools, including most recently last season's state championship at Batesbug-Leesville. Coach Brown is inheriting a squad that went undefeated last year under outgoing Coach Miles Aldridge, who is leaving Spring Valley to be closer to his family in the Charlotte, NC area. We are excited to have Coach Brown back in the Valley.
