Students in grades 9 through 11 who were issued Chromebooks for the 2014-2015 school year, and who plan to return to Spring Valley next school year, have two options as we close out the school year. Option one is keeping your Chromebook over the summer. If you you wish to keep your device over the summer you do not have to return it at your appointed time. Option two is to return the device and charger (please keep the case) at your appointed time. Appointment tickets were handed out in third period on Friday, or will be handed out in third period today. Student choosing option one are asked to please take special care of their devices over the summer. Chromebooks should be stored in a safe place. Never leave the device in a vehicle as storing it at temperatures above 80 degrees may cause damage to it. If you have misplaced your charger, please obtain another one from SVHS only. Do not use any other charger with your device as it may cause damage. If you purchased a protection plan for the 2014-2015 school year and have not already used it, your protection plan will cover you over the summer. Protections plans expire on the first day of the 2015-2016 school year. If you wish to purchase a protection plan to cover your device over the summer you may. If you incur damage to your device over the summer, please bring it to the school. Tape a note with your name, a description of the problem, and your contact information. We will try to have your device serviced and returned as quickly as possible.
