Softball
Spring Valley 13, Irmo 3: The Lady Vikings won yesterday against Irmo in just 5 innings. We scored one run in the bottom of both the first and second innings. Irmo was able to plate three runs in the top of the third, while also keeping us scoreless for the bottom half. We broke things open in the bottom of the fourth scoring 11 runs. Alexis Edgerton, Breanna Martinez, Jade Mickle, and Kylie Player all had multiple hits for the Vikings, with the win itself being a total team effort. We travel to take on Lugoff Elgin this Friday in a tough region game. Wish the girls good luck!
Boys Lacrosse
The Boy's Lacrosse team hosted Chapin on Wednesday night. It was great game coming down to the last minute, but the Vikings couldn't quite pull off the win, losing 8-7. It was a great game.
Scoring for Spring Valley: Tre Hollis (2 goals, 2 assists), Clark Finch (2 goals), Matthew Cox (1 goal, 1 assist), Nygal Green (1 goal), Ryan Cain (1 goal) and Scott Schmitt (1 assist).
Caleb Conner, goalie, had 8 saves while facing 38 shots. The defense killed 4 Extra Man situations and Face Off Specialist, Tate Iaulaulo, was 71%.
Next game will be Monday, 6 pm, at Westwood.
