Spring Valley Students Attend SC Legislative Black Caucus Youth Leadership Conference

Spring Valley High School had two of its most promising students participate in the SC Legislative Black Caucus Youth Leadership Conference held today at the South Carolina State House.  Jasmine Hughley and Nkechi Ntagu participated in a mock legislative session in the Senate chambers, where they debated issues from operating cell phones while driving and public schools having a mandatory dress code. They also heard from Keynote Speaker Dr. Victor Mark Brown who told them to "Be The Difference, Be The Change and Be a Leader" when it comes to their present and their future goals in life. These two young ladies represented Spring Valley High School and Richland 2 very well and we couldn't be more proud.
