Viking boy’s lacrosse beat White Knoll on Friday night with a final score of 20-6! Adam O'Dell scored 9 goals and 2 assists in the Viking victory while Maxwell Williams won 21 of 28 faceoffs. Casey Quickmire had 3 goals; Sam Kilimnik and Patrick Jackson each had 2 goals while Dominic Livoti, Asa Arnold and Deondre Pierrolouis each had 1 goal. Trey Perrotti was outstanding with 11 saves. The defense played strong!

The Spring Valley Vikings played the Ridge View Blazers tonight, and won 16 to 7.

Our Vikings defense communicated well and worked hard to keep Ridge View's attack out of our 8-meter arch.
The girls played a great game, many of them trying out different positions on the field. It was fun to see people in areas different than where they usually play! We were also lucky, the rain started to come down right after our game finished

Last night, the Spring Valley Vikings Girls Lacrosse team traveled to River Bluff to take on the Gators.

On Saturday, 3/25, the Spring Valley Vikings Girls Lacrosse team hosted the Ridge View Blazers at 2pm.
It was a Viking win, 16 to 5.

Shout out to the girls who were placed into different positions on the field during this game. We had several girls who could not make it to this game, and a few of us jumped into different positions to fill some gaps, fantastic work!
Boys Golf
3/19
The team remains undefeated after a 24 shot victory over River Bluff. The team was led by Fulton Jones with an even-par round of 36 and Johnny Hyman with a 4 over a round of 40.
Girls Soccer

Last night, the girl's soccer team traveled to Dutch Fork. The Junior Varsity had a successful night, rallying from an early goal allowed to win 3-2. The Varsity team was not as fortunate, dropping a 2-1 game after leading 1-0 at the half. The teams will host Blythewood on Friday at 5:30 and 7pm. Statistics below:

On Friday, the girl's soccer teams were defeated by Blythewood. The JV led things off with a very close scoreless match that ended in PK's, unfortunately to Blythewood's advantage. The varsity followed with a 5-1 loss to Blythewood.
Boys Track
This week, the teams host a Lexington team riding a region winning streak that is approaching 40 games. This game is Monday, JV at 5:30, V at 7pm. On Wednesday, both teams travel to White Knoll, and on Thursday, the varsity team leaves for a Spring Break tournament at Myrtle Beach, potentially playing four games.

Last night the Boys Track & Field team easily defeated Dutch Fork, Camden, and Strom Thurmond. SV - 162, DF - 64, Cam - 28, ST - 21. Record 6-0.
We have a very well rounded team and I think the best dual meet team in the state. Unfortunately, the State Championship is not decided head to head but in a big meet setting. Last night some of our athletes showed they are ready to be big meet performers.
Sam Wallick pole vaulted 14'6 (best in the state so far)
Chris Staudt pole vaulted 14'0 (top 3 in the state)
Quincy Hill ran 56.1 in the 400 hurdles (best in the state so far)
Manny Moore jumped 6'6 in the high jump (top 3 in the state)
Channing Tindal threw the disc 153'6" (top 3 in the state)
Isaiah Miller triple jumped 44'10" (top 3 in the state)
Saturday we run in the state-wide Coaches Classic and we will find out how good we really are.

Saturday the Boys Track Team competed at the Coaches Classic - a state-wide competition. Several of our boys placed well:

The Lady Vikings Track & Field team participated in the 2018 Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic meet on Saturday at Dutch Fork. We had some pretty solid performances against the top athletes in the state with all 3 relays placing in the top 8. Highlights include: Pole Vault 8th place (Morgan McLeod); 4x800 8th place (Khasmine Harr is, Jasmine Hughley, Alexa Lashley, Ahja Amos); 200m dash 6th place (Amaryah White); 4x100 5th place (Jonnica Fuller, Jasmine Dunlap, Mikayla Turner, Amaryah); 4x400 2nd place(Mikayla, Jasmine D., Chalayna Scott, Amaryah).
Our next meet is Wednesday, March 28th at home vs. W. Florence, Pelion and Westwood.
Baseball
3/22
The baseball team defeated Brookland-Cayce Thursday night 13-2 to move to 5-5 on the year and 2-3 in the region. Sophomore Reese Lumpkin got the win on the mound throwing a solid 5 innings.
Offensively Da'avion Sumpter, Jaiden Garner, Kyle Baker, Grant Wells, and Frank Tolar all collected 2 hits apiece.
This week the Vikings are in action at home on Tuesday night vs Irmo and then hit the road on Wednesday and Friday traveling to Westwood and Irmo.
