AMY MILLER ADMITTED TO INAUGURAL USC COLLEGE OF PHARMACY GPA PROGRAM


Amy Miller from Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina has been accepted into the Gamecock Pharmacy Assurance (GPA) program at the University of South Carolina (USC) College of Pharmacy. The GPA program is an early assurance program that rewards graduating high school students who have achieved academic distinction by issuing a provisional early acceptance into the USC College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program. GPA program students will complete a rigorous curriculum of pharmacy prerequisites and receive exclusive benefits that assist with preparation for entrance into the Pharm.D. program.

Amy will make history as part of the inaugural GPA program class.  Students admitted into this program will join a more than 150-year tradition at the USC College of Pharmacy of preparing individuals to excel in the pharmacy profession.  A Pharm.D. degree unlocks the possibility to pursue close to 30 career pathways in varying specialties such as hospital, community, industry, nuclear, academia, and pharmacogenomics. The USC College of Pharmacy prepares students for all pharmacy career pathways through high quality didactic, hands-on, and experiential training in the areas of patient care, business, leadership, and research.
