Summer 2019 ASVAB Administration - Tuesday August 6th

Are you interested in a career in the military?

The summer administration of the ASVAB will be held Tuesday, August 6th. It will take place in the multi-purpose room (MPR) on the 2nd floor. Testing will begin at 8:30 am and should conclude by 12:15 pm. Please let me know if you are interested in taking the ASVAB so that I can get you signed up. Plan on reporting directly to the MPR once you arrive on campus.

Junior/Senior Parent Night- September 5th

Need help with Annual Registration?

Richland Two parents who need help completing the online annual registration process are invited to attend an Annual Registration Night this summer. This process includes providing proof of residence, verifying student information, and reviewing and complete forms. Families will have access to computers, internet, district staff and interpreters.

Annual Registration Nights will be held from 6-8 p.m. on July 16, July 31 and August 8 at R2i2, located at 763 Fashion Drive in the Village at Sandhill.

Congratulations to Spring Valley Key Club and student Caroline Agostini!

Spring Valley Key Club was recognized for serving over 3000 hours of community service during the 2018-2019 school year at the International Convention in Baltimore, Maryland. The SVHS Key Club received the Distinguished Club Diamond Level Award and Caroline Agostini was there to accept the award for our club as a representative of our school and for Division 23b as our Lieutenant Governor.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our Spring Valley Key Club members for their hard work and dedication in serving our home, school, and community!

Summer Reading Suggestions

The Spring Valley English Department wants to encourage you to take the time out this summer to read. As such, we have created a list of offerings for enjoyable reading. Feel free to choose from any novel on any list. The suggestions are simply made based upon average readability levels for the grade. Some of these texts will also assist you in preparing for either AP Language or AP Literature testing and coursework. Many of the classic novels can be found for free on the Internet. In addition, the local Richland County Library has them in-stock. We also encourage you to read a variety of other fiction and nonfiction sources ranging from newspaper and magazine articles to plays and poetry. Happy reading!

2019-2020 Student Schedules

Hi Vikings!

We hope you are enjoying your summer break and looking forward to the start of the 2019-2020 school year.

We understand the excitement surrounding seeing your schedule and planning for the school year. Your counselors are spending time making schedule corrections and adjustments during the summer so any schedule that you might see for next year IS NOT your final schedule.

Once the counselors have completed the adjustments to the schedules for next year, we will send out information about how to request a course change should you feel that one is needed. Requests for schedule changes prior to that notification being sent out will not be considered.

Over the course of the next few weeks, there may be times that Parent Portal is not available. This is a normal part of the scheduling process.

Enjoy your summer a little longer and wait for updated communication from us regarding schedules! The 2019-2020 school year will be here before you know it.
