The Spring Valley English Department wants to encourage you to take the time out this summer to read. As such, we have created a list of offerings for enjoyable reading. Feel free to choose from any novel on any list. The suggestions are simply made based upon average readability levels for the grade. Some of these texts will also assist you in preparing for either AP Language or AP Literature testing and coursework. Many of the classic novels can be found for free on the Internet. In addition, the local Richland County Library has them in-stock. We also encourage you to read a variety of other fiction and nonfiction sources ranging from newspaper and magazine articles to plays and poetry. Happy reading!
