Attention SVHS Parents & Students:
Chromebook Distribution Information for
2019-2020
Friday, August 23: All NEW to SVHS Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors:
- Come before school, at lunch, or with a teacher pass to the table outside the Multipurpose Room to receive a Chromebook.
- If coming from another Richland Two school, they should bring their case. If new to Richland Two, they will receive a case.
- PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE PAID FOR THE PROTECTION PLAN PRIOR TO RECEIVING THEIR CHROMEBOOK. (See new policy below.)
Monday, August 26: All NEW to Spring Valley Freshman:
- Freshman will come with their English 1 class to receive their Chromebooks.
- If coming from another Richland Two middle school, they should bring their case. If new to Richland Two, they will receive a case.
- PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE PAID FOR THE PROTECTION PLAN PRIOR TO RECEIVING THEIR CHROMEBOOK. (See new policy below.)
Tuesday/Wednesday August 27-28: Makeup Distribution
- Any student in any group who did not come to Chromebook distribution on the above dates will come to the Multipurpose Room during lunch to be issued a Chromebook
NEW CHROMEBOOK PROTECTION PLAN POLICY
- Returning Students who purchased the Technology Insurance last year have coverage through September 30, 2019 if not already used.
- Reminder: Students CANNOT PURCHASE the Technology Insurance after September 30, 2019.
- If after September 30, 2019, someone has not paid the $20 insurance fee, then he/she has no longer covered AND can no longer purchase the protection plan. He/she will be charged FULL PRICE for any damages that occur.
- If a student checks out a device and he/she has not paid in full, he/she has no coverage. Therefore we recommend: insurance first - checkout second.
*Anyone who enrolls after September 1st has a 30 day window to pay in full. After the 30 days, the option to purchase goes away and you will be charged full price.
