The #GeoVirus Released, Mapped, and Contained
Mrs. Sansonetti-Wood's geography classes learned about spatial analysis with a simulation of a modern-day Cholera Epidemic of 1854 and the mapping of Dr. John Snow. Over a two day period, a number of #GeoVirus and bugs began appearing on the third floor. The students had to map the outbreak, analyze patterns in the spread of the #GeoVirus, and figure out how to stop the spread.
It was a fun two days where students "did" geography putting principles, methods, and skills into action. We learned about spatial perspective, fieldwork, data gathering, and more!
