The Lady Vikings traveled to Beech Creek in Sumter to take on region foe Sumter's Lady Gamecocks and Camden's Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Vikings put up their best team score 200, their lowest so far of the season to defeat the Sumter Gamecocks by 41 strokes. The Lady Vikings were led by Junior Millie Spivey, who was the overall low medalist for the match, shooting her low round for the season of 40. Unfortunately, the lady Vikings would come up one stroke shy of defeating the Lady Bulldogs team score of 199. Other Lady Vikings contributing to overall team score were: Mary Freeman, Millie Sox, and Elaine Craig.

The Lady Vikings welcomed the Ridge View Lady Blazers and region foe Lugoff Elgin Lady demons to Woodlands for a home match. The Lady Vikings were led by sophomore Maddie Webster shooting her career low of 46, and taking the low medalist honors for the Lady Vikings. The overall low medalist for the match was Ridge View's Imani Belton shooting a 41. The Lady Vikings team score of 203 was enough to defeat Ridge View's team score of 224 and Lugoff Elgin's 268 represented by only 2 Lady demons due to injuries. Other Lady Vikings contributing to overall team score were: Millie Spivey, Mary Freeman, and Millie Sox.
Next up for the Lady Vikings will be a series of road matches, with Lugoff Elgin in Camden on Tuesday, Cardinal Newman at Woodcreek on Wednesday and the Lady Bengal Invitational tournament at Columbia country club on Thursday.

The Spring Valley BTeam defeated Clover last night in Clover 20-19 The offense was lead by the hard running of Kenneth Jefferson (KJ), Evan Javis and David Wilson. The defense made a lot of big plays lead by a pick 6 by Nigel Acrum and a goal-line stand lead by Chris Robinson, Charles Adams, and Ty Julian Wallace and the rest of the Viking defense, to ensure the victory. The BTeam will host Lexington next week
JV
The JV team defeated arch-rival Richland Northeast 28-0 on Thursday night in a game that was stopped at half time because of the weather. Brock Lambert threw four touchdown passes to Keelon Holman, Deshawn Jordan, Joshua Washington, and Logan Mincey. The Vikings defense shutout the visiting Cavaliers. The Vikings Will be back in action this Thursday night at 7:30 versus Chapin.

The Spring Valley varsity football team defeated arch-rival Richland Northeast 39 to 3 Friday night. The Vikings were lead on offense by quarterback DeQuandre Smith who threw for 200 yards and four touchdown passes and ran for one touchdown. Manny Moore had two touchdown receptions, Quanta Jackson and Nehemiah Bell had the other touchdowns. On Defense, the Vikings were led by Trey Peterson who had eight tackles and four sacks and the caused fumbles. Coby Cornelius had 12 tackles and one interception. Justin Nelson also had 8 tackles. The Vikings move to 2-1 on the season and travel to Chapin Friday night at 7:30.

9/12On Thursday, the SV Swim team competed in their first tri-meet of the season. The SV girls pulled off a double win against both Dreher and White knoll. The girls remain undefeated so far this year. First place finishers include Ann Frye (50 free, 100 breast), Ann Ryan Alexander (100 fly), Elizabeth Johnson (100 free) and Caroline Agostini (400 free). Additional point winners for the girls include Ellis Murray, Zoey Fowler, Sara Ormond, Bella Cannon, Anna Todd, and Madison Litton. The girls A medley relay also took first place.
The Viking swim team will travel to compete against Irmo on Wednesday.
The SV boys also pulled off a double win against both Dreher and White Knoll. First place winners include Dan Todd (200 free, 100 fly), Patrick Quirk (200 IM), Asa Arnold (50 free), Ethan Ho (100 free, 400 free), Jojo Frye (100 breast). Additional point winners include Rhett Moore, Pedro Robertson, Chet Urs, Robert Young, Larkin Shearin, Kaden Moraco, The A Medley relay, A 200 free relay, and A 400 free relay all placed first.
