Isabelle Singleton National Scholastic Art Winner

Congratulations to Isabelle "Max" Singleton for winning a National Scholastic Art Award with her pen and ink drawing, "Hanging Around." Her national silver key award is a high level of distinction for her and establishes the Spring Valley High Visual Arts program as a national presence having had students win national recognition for their artwork 8 of the last 9 years.

To paint a better picture of the significance, the state of SC won 52 total national awards in visual arts and writing with only awards from traditional public schools. The remaining awards were earned by students at Greenville's Fine Arts Center, the Governor's School for Arts and Humanities and the Charleston County School for the Arts.

As always, thank you for your continued support of our visual arts program! We are so proud to be among the 4 public high schools represented in SC for this award!
