SV 5, River Bluff 4: The softball team battled to victory against a competitive River Bluff team yesterday 5-4. The Lady Gators jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but we quickly followed suit with 4 runs of our own in the top of the second. Jourdan Bostic came up big at the plate going 2-3 with 3 RBI’s and 1 run scored. Other contributors were Breanna Martinez who went 1-2 and scored 2 runs, Whitney Jenkins and Sabrina Martinez who went 1-2 and 1-3 respectively, and each scored a run. The team hopes to use the momentum from this win as they take on Easley @ 6:00 at home on Thursday in the first round of the playoffs. Come out and support the team!
