Spring Valley Robotics Team Competes in the VEX Skyrise Competition

Over the weekend of May 15-17, Dr. Rodgers and three students (Arius Thomas, Carly BensVega, and Johnathan Martinez) on Spring Valley High School's robotics team (120E: Green & Gold Robotics) traveled to Gonzales, Texas to compete in a VEX Skyrise Competition. The team's redesigned robot performed very well in the competition, often stacking one skyrise cone in the autonomous period and six more in the driver-control period. Green & Gold Robotics finished 3rd in the qualifying matches and advanced to the finals in the elimination bracket. This competition finishes the VEX Skyrise season for Green & Gold Robotics, and we look forward to next year's Nothing But Net competition.
