On Tuesday, January 12th, Professor Joseph Quattro from USC spoke to the Marine Biology Club during their lunch meeting. Dr. Quattro is a tenured professor in Marine Sciences and Biological Sciences. He took time out of his busy day to talk about his career path to becoming a professor, his field work and research, as well as the classes he teaches. His career has involved working with sturgeon, sharks, tuna, and Mexican clonal fish. Students were very interested to hear him tell about a new species of hammerhead shark the he discovered and named! A big thanks to Dr. Quattro!
