Softball
Spring Valley 14, Ridge View 12: The softball team won a back and forth contest with Ridge View Friday night. After we had gone ahead 2-0, the visiting Lady Blazers scored 7 runs in the 4th inning. Our girls never gave up, and kept chipping away at the score: 2 runs in the bottom half of the fourth, 6 runs in the fifth, and 4 more in the sixth. Jade Mickle, Cameron Cooper, Sabrina Martinez and Maggie Tolar all had multiple hits for our team. Overall record is now 5-4, and we are 1-1 in region play. Next game is tomorrow as we travel to take on Blythewood. Wish the girls good luck!
Boys Track
The Boys Track Team is off to a good start for the season. The team is 4-0 after beating Dutch Fork last week 101 to 40. This weekend the team won the Trojan Relays in Rock Hill after winning the Diamond Hornet Invitational at LR the week before.
Solid performances have been turned in by Trevon Cheeks, Prince Howard-Whitaker, Teyvion Mayo, Kareem Hinds, and Javondii Myers.
Javondii high jumped 6'8" on Saturday which is the second best jump in school history.
