Girls Golf
Spring Valley lady vikings golf team was one of 16 teams playing in the lower state championship in hopes of advancing to the State championship next week. The 18 hole tournament was played at Coosaw Creek golf course in Charleston. Spring Valley was one of 7 teams to advance from their regional tournaments last Monday. The tournament was fielded with very experienced teams and a very challenging course. The lady vikings team was not able to advance, but two of our individual players were able to qualify to move on to the championship. Payton Starmack and Kamryn Beaman will be advancing to the State Championship and representing Spring Valley next Monday and Tuesday. They were 2 of the top 4 individuals to advance without their teams.
The State Championship will be played at our own Wildwood golf course in Columbia next Monday and Tuesday.
