Spring Valley Senior Ethan Drake had two of his artworks selected for the University of South Carolina Beaufort’s 2016-2017 Annual Emerging Artists Competition: “Straight Outta Options” & “The Vitruvian Man”.
The judges panel reviewed 119 submissions and selected more than 50 artworks for display. Ethan received $500 for art supplies to create his artwork for the show. On Friday, January 27th he won 3rd place for his piece "The Vitruvian Man" and received a $1000 scholarship and upon his acceptance to USCB he will receive another $1000 ($2500 in total).
