Golf team moved to 7-1 after a quad match on Monday, Team was led by sophomores- Carson Holroyd and Johnny Hyman.
Vikings will play a make-up match with Cardinal Newman today at Woodcreek Farms.

Golf team shot a season-best 159 at Woodcreek Farms beating Cardinal Newman by 30 shots.
The team was led by senior-captain Fulton Jones with a 3 under par round of 33.
Vikings are now 8-1 heading into April.

Girls Soccer

Last night, the girl's soccer team hosted Lexington, losing the JV and Varsity matches. Statistics are below.

On Wednesday, both teams travel to White Knoll for another region contest, and the Varsity team travels to Myrtle Beach for a Spring Break tournament this weekend.

Softball
3/27

The Lady Viking Softball team lost a close game last night to Blythewood 7-6. They fought hard to tie the game up after going down by 6 runs in the first two innings. The defense settled in and made some great plays and offensively the team battled every at-bat, lead by Molly Coleman's first ever home run. The Lady Vikings pick things back up Thursday at Lexington before traveling to the Triple Crown Tournament in Aiken Friday and Saturday.

The Viking Baseball team defeated Irmo High School Tuesday night 3-1.  Kyle Rogers got a win on the mound throwing a complete game, allowing 4 hits while striking out 9.

Senior Jaiden Garner led the offense going 2-2 and scoring a run.

On Wednesday night the Vikings traveled across town to take on Westwood.  The Vikings came out on top beating the Red Hawks 5-1.  Sophomores Jonathan Hafner and Reese Lumpkin combined to throw a 1 hitter.

Offensively senior Da'avion Sumpter and Sophomore Jonathan Sanders each had 2 hits.  Senior Jaiden Garner had one hit and 2 RBI while also scoring 1 run.

Wednesday the boy's track team defeated Westwood, South Florence, and Pelion.  The score was

Winning events for  the Vikings were
Bob Godfrey in the 800-meter run
Steven Andreen in the 3200-meter run
D. J. Skelton in the 110 meter High Hurdles
Channing Tindall in the Shot Put and Discus
The 4x 800-meter relay team of Steven Andreen, Murray Jones, Rob Godfrey, and Jereen Imran.
Also winning The Pole Vault was Sam Wallick at 15' 2" which ties for the best vault in the State so far this season.
and also Quincy Hill who won the 400-meter Intermediate Hurdles in a time of 55.06 seconds.  This not only set a new school record, and not only was it the fastest time run in the state this year, but it was the fastest reported time so far this season in the entire nation.  That's right, folks, Quincy ran the fastest time in the nation so far this season.
Congratulations to Quincy, Sam, and the entire team as they continue their pursuit of a State Championship !

Please join me in congratulating the Lady Vikings Track & Field team now 3-0 in dual meet action.  The Lady Vikings went in strong last night against Pelion, W. Florence and Westwood to come out on top with 100 points vs 40.5, 49 and 65.5 respectively.

Highlights from the meet include:

Spring Valley Girls Lacrosse traveled to Dutch Fork for a 6:00 pm game against the Silver Foxes.

Here are some highlights from tonight's game:

#20 - Payton Starmack - 2 goals, 4 ground balls
#7 - Ashlee Nall- 3 goals, 4 ground balls
#18 - Ryley Starmack - 1 goal, 2 assists, 5 ground balls
#12 - Hannah Huntley - 2 goals, 1 assist, and 7 ground balls
#17 - Turner Prewitt - 1 assist, 2 ground balls

Tianna Fuller, our Viking Goalie, allowed 9 goals, but had 14 saves!

The Vikings ended up falling 8 to 9 against the Silver Foxes. Our record for this season is now 6 wins, 3 losses.
