The Lady Vikings traveled to Windermere (now known as Blythewood Country Club) on Tuesday to take on the Ridge View Lady Blazers.
The lady Vikings were too much for the lady Blazers to handle, playing without their #1 player Imani Belton.  Spring Valley's team score of 221 defeats Ridge View's team score of 266.  The lady Vikings had two tying for overall low round medalist, Maddie Webster, and Millie Sox.  Other's contributing to overall team score were: Mary Freeman and Millie Spivey.  The lady Vikings next match will be home against White Knoll and Heathwood Hall in a tri-match on Thursday at the Woodlands country club.

The Spring Valley Varsity team defeated Brookland Cayce HS 35-23. the Vikings are now 1-1 on the season. the Vikings were led on offense by  QB DeQuandre Smith who was 19 of 26 for 178 yards. he had 4 Passing TDs and 1 Rushing TD.  WR Hunter Rogers had 4 Catches for 63 Yards and 1 Touchdown and Quanta Jackson had 5 Catches for 50 Yards and 3 Touchdowns. On defense, the Vikings were led by   FS Hy’Kein Nhan who had 4 Solo Tackles, 1 Tackle for Loss 1 Pass Breakup and 3 Interceptions. He also had 3 punt returns for 41 yards. DL Ty'Shaun Glover had 4 Tackles and 1 ½ QB Sacks. DE Johnathan Goodwin had 2 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 1 QB sack.  
The Vikings will be the visiting team this week but are at home against rival Richland Northeast HS this Friday at 7:30 at Harry Parone Stadium. we need a huge crowd on the other side of the stadium.

On Wednesday night, 9/4, the Spring Valley Viking swim teams competed against Riverbluff. 
The SV Girls defeated Riverbluff!  First place winners include Caroline Agostini (100 back, 200IM), Anna Frye (50 free), Elizabeth Johnson (100 free) and Ann Ryan Alexander (400 free). Additional point winners included Ellis Murray, Marta Tremolada, Anna Todd, Zoey Fowler, Sara Ormond, and Bella Cannon. The girls A medley relay and A 400 free relay both snagged first place spots with the A 200 free relay coming in second. 

Although the boys were defeated by only 8 points they also had multiple first place finishes. First-place winners included Dan Todd (50 free, 100 fly), Jojo Frye (200 IM,100 breast), and Ethan Ho (100 back). Additional point winners included Rhett Moore, Pedro Robertson, Patrick Quirk, Larkin Shearin, Asa Arnold, and Chet Urs. The boys A 200 medley relay and A 200 free relay both finished second to Riverbluff but the A 400 free relay was able to snag that top spot.
