On March 7th, Gregory Rassolov and Benjamin Fechter completed in the Coastal Carolina Math Contest. Gregory had the 2nd highest Level 2 score ($75 award) and Ben Fechter had the third highest Level 2 score ($50 award). Both students also solved the "Loop the Loop" problem for prizes. The purpose of the contest is to
promote interest in mathematics among high school students. There are two levels of competition. The Level 2 competition is open
only to students who have taken, or are presently taking, a course
beyond Algebra 2, such as Algebra 3, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, or
Calculus. The Level 1 competition is open only to students who have
taken, or are presently taking Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, or
Geometry. Congratulations to Gregory and Ben!
