Information About Excessive Absences

Semester Classes:  Students can miss a total of 10 days (OSS, parent notes, Medical notes, personal college trips, and church events are lawful absences that count towards the absences). If a student goes over the allowed 10 days, he or she will receive a grade of F/A, "Failure Due to Attendance." Any student who has 11 –14 absences in a semester-length class with a passing grade will be allowed to make up days to earn credit for that class.

Year Long Classes:  Students can only miss a total of 20 days (OSS, parent notes, Medical notes, personal college trips, and church events are lawful absences that count towards the absences). If a student goes over the allowed 20 days he or she will receive a grade of F/A, "Failure Due to Attendance." Any student who has 21 –24 absences in a year-long class with a passing grade will be allowed to make up days to earn credit for that class.
