SPRING VALLEY STUDENT RECEIVES SPECIAL USC RECOGNITION

Mary Sheffield, a junior at Spring Valley, received designation of Carolina Master Scholar from the University of South Carolina.

The University of South Carolina conferred the designation of Carolina Master Scholar to twenty seven middle and high school students on December 7, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at Campus Room, Capstone House, and 900 Barnwell Street. They earned a special certificate from the University.

These students constitute the ninth graduating class earning the designation of Carolina Master Scholar for their successful completion of at least three Adventure Series courses. Adventure Series is a summer academic program for academically talented rising 6th – 12th graders. Adventure Series was chosen by “best program” by the University Continuing Education Association.
