Swim Teams
The Vikings were in the water over the weekend at the Sol Blatt Natatorium on the South Carolina Campus for the Blue Devil Invitational hosted by Dreher High School. The girls finished 5th out 20 teams and the boy's retained their Blue Devil Championship. Combined, the boy's and girl's won the meet.
Carl Lobitz was a double winner in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. Tori Agostini won the 100 backstroke and her brother, Thomas Agostini also won the 100 backstroke.
The 400 freestyle relay of Lobitz, Matthew Greene, Alex Gregg and Agostini were winners, as well.
The Vikings travel to Rockbridge Swim Club for a meet with AC Flora on Tuesday before coming back home for Senior Night on Thursday at the Woodlands CC against Ridge View.
Volleyball (9-19-14)
Thursday night volleyball action against Dutch Fork Lady Foxes'. The Lady Vikings went to 5 sets, 25-18; 17-25; 25-20; 21-25; 15-13 pulling off a 3-2 win against the Foxes'.
Freshman Dariona Dash lead with 12 kills followed by senior T'Keyah Burgess 10 kills. Senior Sydney Bryson totaled 22 digs and freshman, Karolyn Martin's 11 assits help lead the Vikings to a 1-1 in the region.
Lady Vikings will be back in region action tomorrow night @ Ridge View starting with JV @ 5:30, varsity @ 7:00 p.m.
Due to time, Lady Vikings JV squad split with the Lady Foxes' during Thursday's match-up.
