Varsity Girls Basketball
Spring Valley 35   Sumter 47
On Tuesday the Lady Vikings fell to Sumter 47-35. Christian Hithe collected a hard earned  15 points, 3 takeaways and 5 rebounds. Shantay Taylor followed with 9 points and 7 rebounds. Joi Jones scored 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Megan Davis scored 5 points and Dominique Hill netted 3 points and dished out 3 assists. 
Next up is an away game Wednesday with Orangeburg Wilkinson. Conference play begins at Home this Friday against Lugoff- Elgin. 

Varsity Boys Basketball
Congratulations to our Boys Varsity Basketball Team for the win last night over Sumter 69-60. Bringing our record to 7-7. Our leading scorers were Malik Dunbar 14 pts; Noah Harper 13 pts;
Kenneth Legette and Deanglo Ward both had 9 pts. 

Congratulations also to our boys on placing 6th against some of the top teams in the country at the Beach Ball Classic Tournament over the holiday break. And to Malik Dunbar for winning the Slam Dunk Contest and P.J. Dozier for making the All Tournament Team.

Please continue to support our Viking boys and girls as we travel to play Orangeburg Wilkinson tonight and when we host Lugoff-Elgin on Friday. Girls 6:00; Boys 7:30 p.m. 

Wrestling
Last night the wrestling team revenged an earlier season lost by defeating the 14th ranked River Bluff Gators 39-37, before losing a hard fought match to 13th ranked White Knoll.

The team is next in action on Friday and Saturday.  The  JV travel to Dutch Fork for the JV Regional Tournament on Friday, while the varsity travel to North Central on Saturday.
