Girls Track headed to State Meet!
The Lady Vikings faced a very competitive 4A State Qualifer meet this past Saturday and was successful in securing entry into the State in the following events:
Lanesa Mahon- 100m dash
Alex Stephens- Discus
Claudia Cannon-1 mile
Christian Hithe-High Jump
Kennay Agnew-400m dash
Claudia Cannon-800m run
Kennay Agnew, Miya Freeman, Mikayla Turner, Christian Hith- 4x4m Relay
We had some of the best performances all season in the field, but to say competition is fierce to get to State is an understatement. We are in a solid position for this meet, and as always are striving to bring home the title. Our girls have worked hard this season, and it feels great to see them achieve the goals they have set.
Our coaching staff would like to thank everyone for your continued support. If you teach any of these ladies, tell them congrats, and if you simply just pass by them in the hall, give them encouragement.
