Varsity Football
The Spring Valley Varsity Football team defeated Richland Northeast HS 15-14 to run their record to 3-0. The Vikings won a very tough game over their arch rival this past Friday night. The Vikings were led on offense by Ryan Lee who had 13 rushes for 75 yards and a 36 yard TD run. He also had a 25 yard TD pass to Ty'Juan Fulton for the Vikings second TD. The Vikings rounded out the scoring with a 38 yard FG by RJ Bacon. Kadarius Bunch had 17 carries for 78 yards to lead the Vikings. Ty Tallant, Jordan Stiffler and Prince Howard all had great games for the offensive line.

The heroes of the game were the Vikings defense which had a goal line stance with less then 5 minutes left in the game to preserve the win. The Vikings were led on defense by Cameron Jones who had 15 tackles, Kenan Reed with 17 tackles, Paul Stokes with 14 tackles and Justin Haynes with 9 tackles. The SV defense has not allowed an opponent to score any points in the second half of the past 3 games.
The Vikings next game will be this Friday at home against Irmo. Thank you for your continued support.
