Varsity Football
The Spring Valley Varsity football team defeated Laurens 28-7 to run its record 2-0. The Vikings were led on defense by Kenan Reeds 14 tackles, Cameron Jones 6 tackles, 1 interception and 1 caused fumble and by Justin Haynes 4 tackles, 2 caused fumbles and 1 fumble recovery. The offense was led by Ty'Juan Fulton's 169 yards rushing and 3 TD's. Terrell Jackson had a 17 yd TD run for the Vikings other TD. The Vikings had a strong effort on the offensive line led by Seniors Ty Tallant and Prince Howard. RJ Bacon had 5 punts for a 44 yard average, was 4-4 on Extra points and kicked 4 kick offs through the endzone. Spring Valley had a trick play that due to social media became a national sensation.
