Students who love poetry or performing should come to the Poetry Out Loud informational meeting during lunch Thursday, November 12 in Ms. Bartell's room, which is C236.
Spring Valley's Poetry Out Loud Competition will be on Tuesday, December 8 in the auditorium. Prizes will be available for winners. The winner of SV's contest will represent the school at the regional Poetry Out Loud competition in January.
Poetry Out Loud is a national contest that encourages the nation's youth to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. More info is available at www.poetryoutloud.org.
