B-Team Boys Basketball
B-Team fell to Northwestern last night. We started off strong as a team in the first half, but fell short in the second half. The leading scorer was Josh Felder with 8 points. We look to bounce back with our next game at Irmo on Monday.
JV Boys Basketball
The JV boys team managed to hold on to the lead in the end dispite a late run by Northwestern. Defensively we were able to cause some turnovers that led to some easy baskets for us to keep us ahead for most of the game. We won the game 42-37. We were led in scoring by sophomore forward Darius Cohens with 12pts. Quincy Hill contributed 9pts. and Freshman Trevor Squirewell chipped in 7pts. Our next game will be a tough road test for us as we travel to Irmo on Monday Dec. 14th. We're looking forward to the challenge.
Varsity Girls Basketball
The Lady Vikings defeated Dreher 45-37. It was a great game. Leading the way with scoring was Christian Hithe with 21 points. Scoring also for the Lady Vikings with 6 points each was Shantay Taylor, Kristian Wall, and Dominique Hill. Freshman, Taylor Lewis scored 4 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Shantay Taylor also grabbed a game high 12 rebounds. The Lady Vikings' next home game will be next Tuesday against Irmo High School. Come out and support your Spring Valley Vikings!!
