Girls Track
The Lady Vikings Track team remains undefeated in Region competition, moving to 3-0 with a win vs. Blythewood last night. We had solid performances in the 800m (Gabrielle McGee), 1600m (Breanna Murrin, Mary Beth Payne) 3200m (Breanna Murrin, Danielle Murrin, Martina Novotny), 200m (Lanesa Mahon), Pole Vault (Morgan McLeod, Yvonne Thomas, Melissa Smith) and Discus (Mileesha Doctor, Jatyra Holmes).  Our next competition is the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic at Dutch Fork on Saturday March 26th.

Girls Lacrosse
Spring Valley girl’s lacrosse sailed to an easy victory against Ridge View High School Wednesday night 15-1. The Vikings offense shined with midfielder Payton Starmack scoring 4 goals, attacker Breanna Seawell scoring 3, Turner Prewitt and Taylor Motlong both scoring 2, and Hannah Hawkins, Peyton Stevenson, Indirah Canzater, and Mia Shell each scoring 1. Assists were provided by Breanna Seawell, Hannah Hawkins, Indirah Canzater and Krysta Wilson.

The Vikings defense never fails to disappoint; shutting out the Blazers until the last 45 seconds of the second half. The Blazers’ only goal came from a man-down free position shot. Spring Valley worked hard to scoop up every ground ball, force turnovers, and grab interceptions. Goalie Gabi Coward saved 80% of the shots on goal, and she currently has the 4th highest save percentage in the state.

The Vikings kick off Spring break with a home game against Richland northeast Friday night at 6:00. Come out and support the unstoppable Vikings!
