The University of Georgia will be hosting its annual “Vet School for a Day” program on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the University of Georgia. This program is designed to give high school students a greater understanding about the career opportunities within the field of veterinary medicine.
The program includes:
- A Tour of UGA’s Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital
- Meetings with faculty from different areas within Veterinary Medicine
- Discussions with current Veterinary Medicine students
- Lunch with students and faculty
- Career advice from distinguished alumni
Space for this popular program is limited and students must be nominated by a school counselor. There is no cost for students, but to offset the cost of food there is a small fee ($15) for each chaperone (parent, counselor, and/or teacher), payable on the day of the event. Vet School for a Day is proudly sponsored by the David Forehand Foundation, based in Atlanta.
Beginning on August 11, students can register here:
