BLSA teaches AVID students for Constitution Day

Students from BLSA, (Black Law Students Association), at the University of South Carolina informed students, about the Constitution, US Government while making connections between constitutional rights and personal experiences, to include discussions of real world issues that fall under the constitution. Ms Weston and Ms Hubbard, 2nd and 3rd year law students respectively, gave an overview of the some cases and statutes that have been heard in federal court. This was an opportunity for students to gain insight about the many nuances of becoming an attorney.

Ms. Weston and Ms Hubbard will be returning to teach 5 additional sessions with the AVID students at Spring Valley. On behalf of AVID, we would like to thank BLSA and its coordinator Ms.Lashawanda WoodRoberts.
