SCVRD will be hosting their annual Mentoring Day on October 14, 2016. On this day they will place students on Job Shadows in the community and then provide them a lunch with a guest speaker. The students that are eligible to participate are any students that have a documented disability. This could be from a IEP, 504 or a medical professional. Due to changes in the W.I.O.A we are allowed to provide services to students that aren’t clients yet of SCVRD.
The outline for the day is:
1. 08:30 - Students will meet at SCVRD (201 Corporate Park Blvd, Columbia SC 29223) or 09:30 at Assigned Job Shadow Site
2. 12:00- Students will depart Job Shadow Sites to Lunch Location
3. 01:00-02:30 – Lunch will be provided (Lunch Site TBD)
