Three Trophies at One Tournament for the VEX Robotics Teams

On Saturday, Spring Valley Computer Science teacher and VEX Robotics Teams Coach Mrs. Tammy Vaught ran another outstanding VEX Starstruck tournament, and her VEX Robotics Teams brought home not one, not two, but three trophies!  R2i2 served as the venue for the state-qualifying tournament, and 27 teams from around the state competed.

Spring Valley's team 120V Viking Logic finished 15th in match play, scored 8th in robot skills, advanced to the semifinals, and won the Sportsmanship Award.  Spring Valley's team 120E Green & Gold Robotics finished 3rd in match play, scored 3rd in robot skills, and won both a Tournament Champion Award and the Excellence Award.  Next up for both Spring Valley teams is the SC Palmetto Partners VRC State Championship on March 11 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. It has been a fantastic season for Spring Valley's VEX Robotics Teams, and we wish them both great success at the state championship tournament!
