HOSA Members win Top Honors at the 40th Annual State Leadership Conference


On March 8-10, 22 students and 3 advisors attended the 40th Annual SC State Leadership in Charleston SC. The conference was attended by almost 1500 students from across the state. It began and ended with vocal performances by SV students Shakthika Saravanan and Sarayu Parise.  The conference included a large competitive event component that boasts strong competition and 44 different events. 11 of our students placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their event and are now eligible to compete at the International Leadership Conference (ILC) in Orlando, Florida (June 20-25). Two additional students placed in the top 5 in their event. In addition, students were honored for their academic accomplishments and community service. Mrs. Lorie McDuffie (advisor) was recognized for her service to local, state and national HOSA by being named the SC HOSA Advisor of the year. The results are as follows:
