On Saturday, April 8th, students from across Columbia gathered at South Carolina Science Academy to compete in the annual NAACP ACT-SO Columbia Competition. Students competed in academic disciplines including Humanities, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Sciences and Business. On Sunday, April 9th, the top students in each category were announced at an awards ceremony held at GMG Music Center. Among those students who received medals, was Victoria Jackman, a senior here at Spring Valley High School. Victoria received three medals. She received a bronze medal in Drawing and a sliver medal in short story and poetry. Congratulations Victoria Jackman !
