On March 31st Spring Valley's Man-Up Mentoring program visited the Charlotte Hornets arena in Charlotte, NC for career in sports day. During our visit many individuals that work in various areas of the Charlotte Hornets organization discussed their role within the organization and the path they took to get there.
After the presentation Man-Up mentors and mentees toured downtown Charlotte and discussed the infrastructure of the buildings. After returning to Spectrum Arena we enjoyed watching The Charlotte Hornets defeat the Denver Nuggets 122-114.

Man-Up members were so excited to the point that they wanted to showcase their basketball skills against their mentors. On yesterday, 4.26.17 they got the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately, for them, they fell short as Principal, Mr. Temoney and Counselor's Mr. Hawkins and Mr. Ross handed them a loss. It was great fellowship and we look forward to many more outings in the future.
