The Business Department hosted their 2nd in-class Business Plan Competition on April 24, 2017. Three judges donated their time and talent to assist in this effort. (Theresa Counts-Davis, Dr. Kathy O’Quinn, & Coach Perry Dozier) There were 8 students that competed in the competition. (Jonnica Fuller, Ken Alipio, Amaiya Johnson, Kyle Fortner, Marc Pierre, Da’Quan Dewitt, Son Tran, & Faizan Vhora) The Entrepreneurship students used the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) business plan model. Students were judged on Opportunity Recognition, Market Research, Financials & Operations, Marketing & Sales, and Slide Layout & Presentation Skills. Son Tran will go on and compete at the State Competition in June at the College of Charleston. He will be awarded $200.00 for participating in the State Competition.
