Explorations Student Excels in American Chemical Society (ACS) Project SEED Program

On August 4, 2017, Spring Valley Explorations student, Laurel “Bailey” Evans, participated in an ACS Project Seed poster presentation at the University of South Carolina. 


Bailey Evans, Class of 2018, conducted summer research in the laboratory of Dr. Morgan Stefik, a professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at the University of South Carolina, through the program. Bailey’s research focused on the large scale synthesis and testing of block copolymers designed to be used in nanomaterials and alternative energy devices. Bailey’s research and presentation earned her the “2017 ACS Project SEED Program Best Poster Award.” Congratulations, Bailey!
