2018 Palmetto Boys State Application

Attention Junior boys, 

Richland County Post 6 of the American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Boys State (PBS) is now accepting applications for delegate selection.  Each year, PBS is held to provide a unique forum for the state’s rising high school senior boys to learn about government and the political process. This year’s PBS will be held on the campus of Anderson University, in Anderson, SC from Sunday, June 10 to Saturday, June 16. The week is filled will mock exercises to teach the political process and delegates collectively elect and run their local and state governments. Palmetto Boys State primary objectives are to take the young men who have demonstrated leadership in their own communities and train them in practical, democratic principles of government, and actively participate in the organization, election, and functions of all three branches of government. 

Applications are available now and may be picked up from the Guidance Office, Main Office and Student Activities. Applications are due Monday, March 19th to Mrs. Ashford in student activities, room C127.
