Girls Golf

The Lady Vikings golf team traveled to Woodcreek Farms to take on Cardinal Newman and Heathwood Hall in a non-conference matchup yesterday.  Unfortunately, the course and the strength of the Cardinals top 3 were too much for the lady Vikings to overcome but were able to stay ahead of them. There were several birdies made on the day and a new season low by several lady Vikings.  Low medalist for the first time this season was sophomore Millie Spivey with her season-low round.
Other lady Vikings contributing to the overall team score were: Madeline Kay, Maddie Webster, and Mary Freeman.

It was a beautiful afternoon as the Lady Vikings were back on their home course taking on their region rivals the Blythewood Bengals.  For the second match in a row, Millie Spivey surpassed her season-low score by 2 strokes to capture low medalist for the match.  Unfortunately, the solid playing by Millie Spivey and senior Madeline Kay was not enough to carry the Lady Vikings to victory.  Blythewood's team score of 195 tops Spring Valley's team score of 206.  Other Lady Vikings contributing to the team score were Maddie Webster and Millie Sox.  The Lady Vikings next match will be home on Tuesday, Sept 25th taking on the Sumter Gamecocks and the Cardinals of Cardinal Newman.
