The Lady Vikings traveled to Newberry Country club to play in the Smith Memorial tournament, also known as the "Pink Out" tournament.  This is an annual event that is hosted by River Bluff's team and coach, Roger Smith, in honor of his parents.  Teams from around the state pencil in this tournament on their calendars because the teams really enjoy getting decked out in their finest and craziest pink attire from head to toe.  And of course, the most important part is that the team entry goes to help fund cancer research.
It was a record-setting temperature day for October and there were lots of cold drinks and cold towels being dispensed.  Unfortunately, the lady Vikings did not have their best that day and finished in 14th place of 17 teams competing.  Low round medalist for Spring Valley was Millie Spivey, who also placed T-44 out of 92+ players in the field. Others contributing to team scores were: Maddie Webster, Mary Freeman, and Millie Sox.

The lady Vikings playing in their last home match of the season taking on the White Knoll Lady Timberwolves.  Honoring our seniors in our "Pink Out-Senior Night" event.  This was a re-scheduled event due to Hurricane Dorian.  But the weather was not an issue on this day, the weather was absolutely perfect for golfing and it seemed to work in the lady Vikings favor, they were able to take down the lady Timberwolves by a team score of 200 over 217.  Low medalist for Spring Valley was Millie Spivey.  Others contributing to the overall team score were seniors Mary Freeman and Millie Sox, along with Sophomore Maddie Webster.  Seniors Mary Freeman and Millie Sox were also honored by their teammates after the match with a pizza party!
Next up for the lady Vikings will be to travel over to Columbia Country Club, Tuesday, October 15th, for the 5A Region 4 qualifying tournament.
