Pinwheels for Prevention

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize that we each can play a part in promoting the social and emotional well-being of children and families in communities.  Pinwheels for Prevention raises awareness of the plight of 12,000 children per year that are reported as abused in South Carolina and how we may prevent abuse in our community.  Donations are asked of $.50 per pinwheel to be planted in our “Pinwheel Garden” in the front of our school during the month of April.

The Children’s Trust is a non-profit organization the serves abused and neglected children throughout the U.S.  All proceeds go toward services helping these children as well as prevention of abused in our state.  Collection and activity officially start on 3/26 and go till 4/26.  We would like as many people as possible to participate in “Pinwheels for Prevention.” Help in planting of our pinwheel garden (we have 1300 pinwheels collected so far) on March 27, 28, and 29 at the front of our school.  March 27 & 28 from 4:00-6:00 and March 29 from 12:30-2:30. Click here for more details.
